Ellie is a 14 year old girl who loves to sing and share her story with the world. She is also a girl who just started off her 8th year of battling an aggressive brain tumor with her FOURTH and most devastating surgery. The family has received much love and support from the community but much more is needed. Please stand with Ellie, sing your favorite song at the top of your lungs and support her with a donation to help cover the massive medical costs and ongoing care she will need.
More about her story: My name is Kelli Shoup and my niece Ellie, now 14 years old, has had a brain tumor for more than 7 years now. She has undergone 3 brain surgeries at the age of 6 and 7 years old. Ellie has endured over 6 years of Chemotherapy straight. Unfortunately Ellie’s tumor grew 40% this past chemo break . Ellie had another brain surgery on January 22nd, 2019 to remove as much tumor as possible. Ellie still has what most would call a pretty big tumor and is expected to begin Chemotherapy once she heals from surgery. Ellie has a long road of recovery in front of her, as she learns to eat, drink, walk, and regain function. I am setting up this Go Fund Me Page to help my Sister and her family as they will have unsurmountable medical bills behind them and ahead of them. The first time Ellie had brain surgery her hospital bill after insurance was $86,372.00, believe it or not that is just a fraction of the original bill. They have a medication cap of $5000 a year for the entire family. As you can imagine, Ellie and her family’s prescriptions use that amount up within one month of the year. So the family has to pay for the prescriptions for the rest of the year. My sister Kyle, (Ellie’s Mom) has MS and has her own medication costs and personal health issues to worry about. Every little bit helps no amount is too little. If everyone donated just a little that would be amazing. Please consider donating something to helping this family so when the medical bills start rolling in they can just focus on the recovery and health of my sweet 14 year old niece Ellie.
Thank you for your love and support. If you want to follow along with Ellie’s journey my sister has setup a blog www.loveforellie.com
