Jonathan our Club Foot Cutie
Spende geschützt
It all began when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We found out that we were having a baby boy but there might be a possibility that he would have bilateral club foot. They wanted to wait a few more weeks before officially diagnosing it. So we waited...we went to the maternal fetal specialist who confirmed the diagnosis. From that moment on Terry and I began this journey together.
Fast forward to October 15, Jonathan greeted us with his presence. The doctor was stoked with how well his lungs, heart looked and how well he responded to everything . So his feet were our main concern. We began the casting process at just 11 days old and went back every week for a new cast. December 2, baby boy underwent a tetonomy to lengthen his Achilles tendon and went back into casts for 3 weeks. I thought we were in the home stretch only to find out all the treatment he has undergone will have to be started over completely because his feet are not fully corrected.
We are in contact with Dr. Dobbs who is the best in the nation when it comes to clubfoot treatmemt. We are struggling with the cost of the medical treatment that Jonathan has already undergone on top of figuring out how we are gonna make payments to Dr. Dobbs. That is why we have created this campaign.
Terry and I have really learned alot about team work and depending on eachother to get through it all. But Jonathan has taught us what true strength is. We can't do this alone anymore. We need help and as much as it hurts me to ask it would hurt me even more if Jonathan doesn't get the proper treatment.
Thank you all,
Jonathan, Lexi, & Terry
