My name is Denise Blevins and I thank you for the prayers recently for my daughter and her children. Their lives are absolutely turned upside down right now; my daughter and the children need great financial help, more than I can provide. On October 28 (just a few weeks ago), my daughter’s husband died. Everyone is devastated. He left behind four children – a 16-year-old daughter, a 14-year-old son, and twin 8-year-old boys. The youngest don’t understand, and the teenagers are heartbroken. Each of them is lost in emotions and grief. With the Lord’s help, we are trying to get through one day at a time and move forward, but it’s just overwhelmingly difficult.
Numerous friends and colleagues have supported in prayer. Many of you have continually asked how you can help. She is my daughter, they are my grandchildren, and I have gladly helped as much as possible, but there’s only so much one person can do. The needs are great and time is of the essence. God tells us to ask for what we need, to bravely go before His throne humbly and lay all our burdens at His feet.
Here’s how each of you can help. This GoFundMe account is for the great needs my daughter and her children have. I want to be transparent here because it’s important: there are real needs here, big needs, some of which the GoFundMe can help with. There are mortgage payments due, daily living expenses, debts, and just getting by each day and month until she can find a permanent home and job. The GoFundMe is a way for anyone who feels moved to donate to the family to ease some of their financial burdens – the emotional burdens are theirs alone to bear for many years to come. I ask you to pray and if feel led, to help in any way you can. As little as $10 will be helpful – anything you feel led to give - and it is appreciated more than you know. Prayer costs you nothing, so please do pray for each of them, especially the children.
