MHS Mountaineer football

The MHS football program is making history! Last year the team went to the state playoff championship game finishing second in the state! Each year we are consistently seeing more kids participating in the program than the year before. The success of this program isn't limited to the high school. The middle school and recreation league programs benefit from the excitement the kids feel about one day wearing that purple jersey and being a Mountaineer. The community is also being brought together as we support our kids including an incredible send off to the state championship game. The boys had the honor of seeing parents, friends, families and fans of MHS football line miles of highway waving, holding banners and yelling out cheers of encouragement as the bus drove them to Wake Forest. But it doesn't come cheap. Every year all equipment must be approved, if not approved, replaced. Uniforms have to be bought. Officials must be paid. And thankfully we are having to pay more than ever as we are traveling farther as we go deep into playoffs!! We are first thanking you for the incredible support we already see. The signs on your businesses, in your yards, on your vehicles is so appreciated. So many have already given so much to this program. We are coming to the community now asking again for support. Please consider helping with this campaign to raise needed funds by contributing. There are many ways you can contribute AND recognize someone. You may contribute in honor of a current athlete, former athlete or senior preparing to graduate and carry the memory of a once in a lifetime season with him throughout his life. Just put that person's name in the comment box when you donate. If you prefer to donate anonymously that is also an option.
