We don't always get to choose our circumstances and events but we are always free to choose our reactions to them, and my response to cancer is to beat it senseless and be changed in the process.

Steve Hansen is one of those people you meet and can't help but like. He has a smile that lights up a room... and he's always smiling! He and his wife Barb have lived and served in the Kent community for over 30 years.  And on top of that, they have raised 4 beautiful adult children, and now have (almost) 5 grandchildren. 

On August 2nd, 2018, their lives were flipped upside down when Steve was diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer. At this stage, it is inoperable, but they are hopeful that the treatment plan they've developed with the help of professionals will fight back with great force. 

This is where you come in. We all know cancer treatment is expensive. Combine that with other living expenses and the costs can be overwhelming. 

Barb and Steve need your support now. We're coming together to raise $50,000  by Thanksgiving Day (November 22nd) to lighten their financial burden during this challenging season.
