PUT A SMILE ON BAN
Spende geschützt
Hi, my name is Lena! I'm fundraising to put a smile on my dad's face, literally!
Most of you know my dad, Banrith (aka Ban), as the one-man show serving up amazing dishes from Suzette's Restaurant in Jordan. You may not know that my dad was once a slave, and refugee from the Khmer Rouge (Cambodian) genocide in the 70s.
My father's experience with starvation as a slave in Khmer Rouge also left him with severely damaged oral health. In the book, "My Heart, it is Delicious," you can find my dad receiving dental work at the refugee camp he volunteered at after escaping the Khmer rouge. More details about my dad's life can be found HERE.
My parents have owned and run Suzette's for over 24 years. They both were Cambodian refugees and started life here with nothing. They're prideful and don't want to ask for help. Even when the restaurant was broken into, my parents didn't ask for donations.

The cost for his dental implants totals over $30K
My mother lives life every day in pain due to an autoimmune disease. I hope this fundraiser takes the stress out of working more to cover the cost of this procedure. Stress only makes her pain worse.

With my dad now 66, I want nothing more than for my dad to feel entirely comfortable showing his joy through his smile without feeling the need to hide it behind his hand or lips. The man who gives everything and asks for nothing. Help me put a smile on Ban!
