Pursuit of Happiness... A Girl and Her Mom

I am a 27-year-old woman seeking to change my life!

In the last year, I have done a lot of evaluation and growth with plenty of bumps along the way. I quit a miserable job in a career that I loved, packed my two German Sheppards, one of which recently passed away far before her time, and my cat, left a four-year negligent and abusive relationship and began the long process of divorce, and relocated to invest in myself and my happiness. Unfortunately, I have had to do it without the help of my "family", but I had someone willing to support me and make everything more possible.

Today, I am on the verge of starting a new job that excites me, opens up new opportunities, and will help me take my life in the direction I want it to go. Sadly, the job is an hour from where I currently live and the cost of residence and travel is less than what the job will provide me. I do have reliable transportation (a 2022 leased vehicle), but thanks to my soon-to-be ex-husband's unwillingness to carry his share of responsibilities I am currently a couple of months behind on it, and waiting for the debt of a shared $20K to be attended to by the courts (this is not included in the GoFundMe; more below on that). However, I have weighed the value of the job, my happiness, the cost of daily travel, the wear and mileage on my vehicle, and other cons and I am determined to see the job through as it will ultimately open the door to better things in my life.

Another important change in my life is a reconnection with my birth mother! I do not remember her, she was rarely spoken of in my home growing up, I was never allowed to meet her, and often I was kicked down because I was "too much like her." We have had phone conversations and shared history, and the more we talk and the more I learn the more I want to go spend time getting to know her. I currently live in the State of Kansas, and she resides in Las Vegas, Nevada so there is a bit of distance. Today, I came up with a solution that would also serve my need for embracing the free-spirited and independent woman that I was never allowed to be, and allow me to reconnect with this woman who has been so much of a mystery to me but impacted my life in ways I never knew.

I would like to buy an RV Camper, either one that can be driven or can be pulled that I could use for the days that I am working while I begin making plans to take a trip out to Las Vegas and spend a couple of weeks, which the job would allow for, to meet my mother. Following that, I intend to start making more changes that will allow me to eventually spend my time travelling the United States with my dog, cat, and exploring more opportunities, and finding the happiness that I deserve in my life.

Anything that anyone can donate to help me fund these goals will be appreciated. I have set a goal that would cover the minimum of what I will need to purchase a camper and take a trip to Las Vegas to meet my mother only! I am not attempting to be greedy; I will be working and doing my best to carry as much of this as possible myself.
