More information about Epps Christian Center: The corporation is organized to provide nutritional food, housing, and educational training, exclusively for the underprivileged. Our mission is to help people create new lives alleviating hunger, homelessness and illiteracy by developing relationships and guidance in a Christian atmosphere. Our Food Pantry is open Tuesdays & Thursdays and our Soup Kitchen is open 5 days a week.

 
   Many may not be aware that we do not own the lot that is adjacent to our  EComfort soup kitchen building. If we are not able to purchase this property we will no longer have adequate space to function as a food pantry which we have done for over 14 years. Many families in our community that depend on our services would be affected by this. Our vision is to put a resource center on this property where our clients can come in out of the weather, charge their phones, have a meal, and use the computer. This project has two components. The services will allow additional case management to be used to impact our client's long term recovery as well as provide the additional space needed to continue our impact on the community, especially during these trying times. The resource center will enable us to link with other service providers that help individuals gain an ID card, social security benefits, veteran benefits, mental health assistance and a host of other services.
