Puerto Rico Recovery Project - Añasco, PR
Steuerlich absetzbar
The NYC-Puerto Rico Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is fundraising for our 4th Hurricane Maria recovery project to Puerto Rico. From March 28 to April 2, 2019, we will volunteer with Project Refuge’s School Restoration Initiative as well as home repairs in Barrio Playa, Añasco, Puerto Rico.
Members will be volunteering with Project Refuge and alongside Team Playa members, a long-term recovery group based in Barrio Playa. Project Refuge is restoring a storm-damaged school in Barrio Playa, that will become a community and youth center. New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) will be the fiscal agent for fundraising & providing staff support for the project. All donations are 100% tax deductible and NYDIS will provide receipts upon request.
All volunteers are paying 100% of their own travel costs. Further, 100% of all funds raised via GoFundMe will fund the LTRG's recovery efforts, no funds will be used for NYDIS’ administrative costs. Donations are needed to purchase or rent equipment/tools/supplies, construction materials/logistics or licensed contractors.
Every single donation, no matter how small or large, helps us meet our goals. Thank you!
