Ecrire une histoire tue. Le massacre de Sabra et Chatila dans la littérature et l’art

Publier un ouvrage sur la Palestine, y compris par le détour de l’art et de la littérature, est un véritable défi aujourd’hui. Après 5 ans d’une recherche présentée en juin 2019 devant un jury prestigieux et couronné par l’obtention de mon doctorat , j’ai la chance de pouvoir publier les résultats de mes travaux chez un éditeur sérieux basé à Paris. Je m’en réjouis vivement, non pas seulement pour la possibilité qui m’est donnée de transmettre un savoir, mais surtout pour ce que cette mise en partage peut susciter au plan de la recherche comme au plan de la réflexion politique.

Les conditions de publication associées à cette publication sont néanmoins peu favorables. Ainsi va la vie de la production du savoir… En clair, je dois assumer les frais relatifs aux droits d’auteur et de reproduction des 40 illustrations incluses dans l’ouvrage, en plus des frais liés à l’impression de 30 de ces illustrations (l’éditeur prenant à sa charge la production de 10 images).

Ces illustrations font partie intégrante de la démonstration. Sans elles, le projet éditorial n’a pas de sens.

Vous aurez compris le sens de cette campagne de crowdfunding : au moment de véritablement mettre ce savoir en partage, il s’agit de m’aider à fabriquer la partie illustrée de l’ouvrage. Et, au-delà, si des éditeurs étrangers sont intéressés, de m’aider à financer la traduction de ce travail (vers l’arabe, vers l’anglais).

La sortie de l’ouvrage est programmée en août-septembre 2022, soit 40 ans après le massacre.

حملة تشاركية من أجل تمويل لنشر كتاب عن مجزرة صبر شاتيلا

كتابة قصة غير محكيّة ؟ مجزرة صبرا وشاتيلا في الأدب والفن.

يشكل نشر كتاب عن فلسطين خصوصاَ من خلال الفن والأدب تحديا حقيقيّاَ.

اليوم و بعد مرور5 سنوات على تقديم بحثي الجامعي الذي قدمته في حزيران/يونيو 2019 أمام لجنة مرموقة من الأساتذة الجامعين الذين ناقشوه ومنحوني درجة الدكتوراة، ، إ نني محظوظة لانه سيكون بوسعي نشر نتائج عملي في كتاب سيصدر عن دار نشر باريسية عريقة.

سعادتي لا تكمن فقط بالفرصة المتاحة لي بنقل المعرفة ولكن قبل كل شيء بما يمكن أن تولّده هذه المشاركة على المستويين البحثيّ والتفكير السياسي.

مع ذلك فان شروط النشر المرتبطة بهذا العمل ليست مواتية دائما وهذا ما يحدث في حياة منتجي المعرفة ... حيث بات من الواضح انه عليّ تحمّل تكاليف حقوق الطبع والنشر واستنساخ الرسوم التوضيحية الأربعين المدرجة في الكتاب ، بالإضافة إلى تكاليف طباعة 30 من هذه الرسوم التوضيح علماّ بأن الناشر يغطي تكاليف إنتاج 10 منها فقط .

إن هذه الرسوم التوضيحية جزءٌ لا يتجزأ من العرض التوضيحي للكتاب والتي بدونها،، يفقد مشروع النشر معناه

أتمنى انكم فهمتم ما اقصده بحملة التمويل الجماعي هذه. وعندما يحين الوقت لنشر هذه المعرفة حقًا، فإنني ساحتاج الى مساعدتكم في تغطية تكاليف الجزء المصور من هذا الكتاب.

وفي حال ابدى ناشرون أجانب اهتمامهم في هذا الكتاب، فإني ارجو المساعدة في تمويل ترجمة هذا العمل (إلى العربية والإنجليزية).

هذا وقد قُرّر إصدار الكتاب في شهري آب /أغسطس - وأيلول/سبتمبر 2022 ، بعد 40 عامًا من ذكرى هذه المجزرة .

إنني على قناعة تامّة بأنه يمكنني الاعتماد على كرمكم.

Participatory fundraising campaign

To write an untold history. The Sabra and Chatila massacre in literature and art

Publishing a book on Palestine, including through the detour of art and literature, is a real challenge today. After 5 years of research, presented in June 2019 to a prestigious jury and crowned with a PhD, I have the chance to publish the results of my work with a serious Paris based publisher. I am very happy about this, not only for the possibility to transmit knowledge, but also for what this effort can bring in terms of research and political reflection.

The conditions associated with this publication are nevertheless not very favorable. This is how the production of knowledge works... Clearly, I must assume the copyright and reproduction costs related to the 40 illustrations included in the book, in addition to the costs related to the printing of 30 of these illustrations (the publisher covers the production of only 10 of them).

These illustrations are an integral part of the book. Without them, the editorial project has no meaning.

By now, you will have understood the meaning of this crowdfunding campaign: when the moment of sharing this knowledge comes, you will be kindly requested to help me produce the illustrated part of the book. And, beyond that, if foreign publishers are interested, to help me finance the translation of this work (into Arabic and English).

The book is scheduled to be published in August-September 2022, 40 years after the massacre.
