Public Health In the Pacific
Donation protected
Hello, thanks for being here.
My name is Mia,
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Scientist with a Master’s in International Public Health from the University of Sydney— but most importantly, I’m a passionate advocate for the health and well-being of our Pacific communities.
Right now, I’m raising urgent funds to support a special two-day workshop in Fiji. It’s part of a major international conference focused on tackling non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer — conditions that are rapidly increasing and impacting families across our region.
This workshop will bring together local leaders, health professionals, global experts, and community members to share knowledge, build skills, and develop culturally meaningful solutions that inspire healthier lives.
Here’s where your support means everything.
Unfortunately, our regular corporate sponsor has had to step away on immediate hiatus due to a serious medical condition, and we’re now struggling to meet the costs on our own.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
* Education and training materials
* Printing and technology needs
* Presenter transport and support
* Local participation and community engagement
* Developing lasting health education tools
* Promoting daily movement and healthy eating, including our **#5plus challenge**: just 5+ minutes of joyful movement each day
How you can help:
* Donate any amount — every little bit helps
* Sponsor $150 or more and we’ll give your name or business a shout-out on social media as a proud champion of community health
This workshop isn’t just an event — it’s a stepping stone toward a healthier, stronger Pacific.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Please consider donating or sharing this message to help us reach those who can.
With thanks and hope,
Mia
