PSI Hurricane Harvey Fund
As we all watched on the news, Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast as a category 4 huricane on August 25, 2017. Before finally moving away from the Houston area late Wednesday August 30 Harvey dumped an estimated 27 trillian gallons of water on Texas and Louisiana setting the record for rainfall in one place in the US at 52 inches . Unprescedented flooding remains today.
The Intertek PSI offices in the Houston area includes over 120 employees. Thankfully all of our employees are safe and the majority escaped the devestation with only inconvenience and limited to no property damage. Unfortunately over 12of our employees had over one foot of water in their homes and many others faced out of pocket expenses to evacuate. Many others have been and will be impacted with extended days of lost wages as most work in the area has been suspended.
Our freinds and colleagues need our help. Imagine missing a paycheck may be several. How about losing your home and everything you own.
We can help. Please consider making a donation to this relief fund. No amount is too small.
All money raised will be donated to our fellow employees who have been impacted to help offset their loss. The money will be transferred from Go Fund Me to a personal checking account I have set up in my name for this purpose. Checks will be issued from this account to ithe mpacted employees.
Once we've reached our goal a committee consisting of the managers in the Houston area offices will meet to determine which employees have been impacted and how to disperse the money. All of the money collected will go to our employees. Please let your manager or me know if you were impacted or to recommend help for a fellow employee who was damaged .
Thanks
