Romora Bay Employee & Community Relief Fund
Just like every single one of you, Romora Bay Resort & Marina, along with the community of Harbour Island and Eleuthera, has been struck very hard financially due to COVID-19. We are a community that is based on tourism, and like so many others in the hospitality sector, we have come to a complete standstill and have had to layoff close to 50 employees.
Beyond our Resort, we recognize that our community is struggling as well. Our management team, who continue to be at the Resort on a volunteer basis, have come up with an idea that we hope you can embrace: to share the love amongst our Briland community.
Our Relief Fund will operate not only for our employees, but for our community. Of the money raised, half will go directly to the Romora Bay staff who have been laid off. The other half will be used to assist our beloved local community as every business and family in Harbour Island and Eleuthera has been severely impacted by the business shutdowns.
• 100% of all funds raised will be distributed – there are no administrative or management fees.
• 50% will be given to our employees to help them and their families get through the next few months of unemployment.
• 50% will be donated to our community through a food distribution program we will set up, manage, and logistically distribute to those in need.
• All food items we purchase to donate will be bought locally from local grocery stores and vendors. This will help keep the wheel in motion and
provide income for local grocery stores and small business owners in Eleuthera and Harbour Island, so that they may continue to provide their much-needed services, as well as provide for their employees.
• 100% of all funds will be run through and accounted for in our outside accounting and management offices in Miami, Florida.
We can't thank each and every one of you enough for the emails, phone calls, and message s of concern and well being. We cant wait to welcome you back...we will be waiting.
