Puerto Rico's Road to Recovery

Hurricane María completely destroyed Puerto Rico. This was way worse than a disaster, it was a catastrophe. Winds exceeding 185mph knocked down 100% of the island’s power and communication. While things have improved a little bit, currently only 10% have power, 70% have water (not potable), and many are literally STILL dying without food and water.
At first, we started this GoFundMe to supply elderly care homes and orphanages with their needs. After my recent trip to Puerto Rico, we discovered that the problem is way bigger than anticipated. I’m currently here, where I met a group of volunteers who have been working since Day 0. This group has completed immediate relief missions and have helped over 28,000 people. They were approached by multiple organizations throughout the United States that have received thousands of donations, but do not have a way of transporting them to PR. Air and water transportations are expensive and most of those organizations cannot afford it. I have paired up with multiple companies who are willing to provide a discounted shipping rate + match any number of containers that we pay for.
The money raised will be used for purchasing food, water, and transportation for all the goods that have been collected in various cities including Washington DC, Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, etc. Alongside this, I’m working on daily missions to provide immediate relief as well as installing water filters in strategic points.

Here is a link to a mission I was a part of in Orocovis, a town in the middle of Puerto Rico. With the money raised, I was able to purchase 8 pallets (over 15,000 water bottles) which were distributed by a big group of volunteers:
