Providing Menstrual Products in Public Bathrooms

Donation protected
We know that menstrual products are a necessity, NOT a luxury item. Would you expect to have to pay for toilet paper in a public bathroom? At Project Period, we are aiming to provide free menstrual products to those who need it, and spread awareness and education about menstruation and menstruating bodies. Here at UMass Amherst, we are working hard with the administration to have free menstrual products provided in ALL public bathrooms  (mens, womens, and gender neutral restrooms) via dispensers. However, we need funds to be able to provide these services at UMass. While working with the administration, we found that once we have enough funds to make this happen, UMass will be happy to implement it.  The funds will be used to purchase the menstrual products to be provided, purchasing dispensers, and hire maintainers to install the dispensers. Every dollar counts! If you can give $1 or even $50, everything counts to work towards a future where we can eliminate period poverty and provide menstrual products on our campus. In 2020, it should be a given! Our goal is to launch this initiative in Fall 2020, hence we need to meet our goal by June. Join us in our fight to have UMass Amherst provide free menstrual products in all public bathrooms! In the meantime, feel free to [email redacted]ss to keep updated on our our project is going, and how close we are to our goal of providing free menstrual products on campus. We are incredibly appreciative of any support, even just sharing this and reaching out on our behalf if you are not able to donate!
