We aim to walk alongside our community through this difficult time by meeting food and emergency needs that arise while schools are closed. Money raised will be used to purchase food and other emergency necessities for children and families in the Chattanooga community.
In a time of great uncertainty, unity is one of the most important and easily implemented focuses that we, as a community, should have. For many families and individuals, basic needs are at risk due to the upcoming weeks of school closure: food, work, childcare, shelter, and various other necessities. For many children, school is the source of their daily meals, sometimes their only food for the day. For their parents, school is the only available form of childcare as they work long hours to provide for their families, and the jobs that are allowing them to do so may be in jeopardy as the economy is affected as well.
