Providing assistance for Stuart Johnson's Children

Stuart A.R. Johnson Jr., 41, was working for McCarthy Tire on Sunday evening, June 30, 2019 when he went to change a tire on a Megabus. State police said troopers were called around 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the northbound lanes of the parkway north of Route 100.

A car hit and killed  Stuart Johnson and took off. A witness followed the car and called police.

"The suspect's vehicle became disabled because of damage that occurred from the crash. When it would no longer run, she as of Brittany L. Walton of Hanover, MD bails out in the area of the B-W Parkway and (Interstate) 195. Police searched for her in the wooded area and found her a short time later," Maryland State Police spokesman Greg Shipley said.

Police arrested Brittany L. Walton, 23, of Hanover, on outstanding warrants from Baltimore City for animal cruelty and burglary. Police said charges are pending for the crash. Walton was released on her own recognizance.

The state police investigation is ongoing. They have not ruled anything out as to cause or contributing factors right now.

Stuart Johnson, Jr. was a father, son, my brother and a friend. He was taken from his 3 beautiful children too soon.

(2 daughters, Amaris Johnson 17 yrs old, Au'Brie Johnson, 4 yrs. old  and a son Amarie Johnson who is 6 years old. 

Stuart was an amazing father and he is no longer here to provide for his children as he always had.

Their father was taken away from them to never be able to help his oldest child with her dreams of Culinary School after graduating high school.

He still had 2 small children to provide for each day and to see them grow and realize their dream. If you can find it in your hearts to donate anything you have to his three children I know their mother's would be eternally grateful for any assistance.
