provide for those suffering in the Delhi slums
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tara Stevens and I go to Methodist College Belfast. Over the years Methody has set up a strong link with a charity called Asha, this is an educational and health charity which provides help for those struggling in the slums in New Delhi, India.
This connection allows pupils in 6th form at Methody to travel to Delhi to help children in the slums through sports, arts and crafts and english and maths lessons to help give hope and opportunity. I will be travelling to Delhi along with 15 other pupils and 4 staff members in October for two weeks, all the money raised is going to the charity to help provide education as well as things like computers, books, medication, financial inclusion and employment for not only young children but adults and elderly that are struggling too.
We each fund our own trip however we are expected to raise a minimum of £500 each to give to the charity, this is what this fundraiser is for.
In addition to this, over the next 8 months we will all be taking part in other fundraisers and group activities to help raise as much money as we can for those in need. Any donations or shares would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
