Provide better funding for baby loss support

Hi, my name is Lauren and in March I will be skydiving to raise money for Forget-Me-Not Support Group. This charity is very close to my heart and everyone involved are some of the kindest people I have ever known.

Forget-Me-Not was founded in 1992, when one of our founders, Karla, sadly lost her baby Grace Ellen at birth. The support that Karla had so desperately needed, was unfortunately not there. Karla's Bereavement Midwife, Jenny Burton (who is sadly no longer with us) had decided that she wanted to open a room at Basildon Hospital specifically for the parents who had lost their babies at birth, but the hospital didn't have the funding to do so. With that, came the beginning of Forget-Me-Not. Which now, 30 years later, has not only raised the money for a special room, but also have a beautiful garden for bereaved parents and their angel babies, and weekly meetings for talking and support, and an incredible and stunning yearly service where a dove release is held. The charity continue to work tirelessly every day to improve the journey of others who have suffered such a huge and devastating loss.

Any donations, even £1 would mean so much to me and everyone who is part of this beautiful group. It’s truly an incredible cause and if anyone is worthy of a little fundraising to strive for better support for others, it’s Forget Me Not. Support us, to support them to continue to support others.
