Welcome to the crowdfunder for Protecting EU & British Citizens' Rights to Remain in the EU.
I am Samit Shah the founder and organiser of the of the group Protecting EU & British Citizens' Rights to Remain in the EU.
Along with almost half of the British people, I truely believe that Brexit will endanger the rights of European citizens living in the UK and those of our British countparts living in the EU.
Everyday we see in the media and public spaces that those of us that voted remain are ignored and even ridiculed for holding a different opinion to the current political direction that our government is taking us. For this reason we have decided to go to Brussels ourselves in order to make our voices heard and to let our fellow Europeans know that not everyone in the UK is a Brexiteer.

This crowd funding page to help us pay for the cost of the trip we are planning to Brussels on the 1st of June 2017. The protest event will take place on the 2nd June 2017 in the form of a march and speeches.
The money raised will be used for admin costs such as equipment and promotional materials, coach hire and accomodation.
We realise that people are wary and cautious of Crowdfunders which is understandable. But never before has a cause like this been more worthy.
Our future depends on you and our fight needs your support in order to make the march in Brussels happen.
As staunch remainers we want to show we can do for the cause.
We want to protect our rights and we want to give the next generation a future to look forward to.
We want to enjoy the society and culture Europe offers and remain united with our European neighbours.
We want to see the rights of our neighbours, friends and family protected. The fightback has started and needs to continue. We need to ensure our voices continue to be heard throughout the next 2 years and beyond.
We pledge to be transparent with the spending and reporting of expenditure as we progress and will do so by tracking all costs incurred and sharing this with you at your request as we progress. We also pledge to ensure that no funds will be utilised from the crowdfunder without approval of ALL nominated signatories and not for anything other than stipulated.
We pledge to be open, honest and transparent throughout. Any funds left over will be put to a poll in the group for contributors to decide what to do with it.
We would greatly appreciate your support and for the cause as most importantly, presence at the march in Brussels!
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP A COMMITEE THAT WILL HAVE VOTING RIGHTS ON HOW THE MONEY IS SPENT. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY MONEY LEFT OVER FROM THE EVENT IT WILL BE SPLIT BETWEEN TWO CHARITIES: THE BRENDON COX CHARITY SET UP IN THE MEMORY OF JO COX AND THE HOPE NOT HATE CHARITY.
