We are deeply saddened by the huge impact this global pandemic has had on the livelihood of our team. Our vibrant and essential hospitality workers are staring down the possibility of economic catastrophe. Last week, we were forced to close our doors to Manhattan Proper & Proper West, letting go of our entire team due to safety concerns. We love being a part of our community and hope to be able to re-open soon. As we remain hopeful, we would like to help our family of employees stay afloat until this has all come to pass.
We have started this fund for our employees: cooks, bartenders, servers, bussers, barbacks, hosts etc. to offer relief during this moment of crisis. If you have the means, we ask you, our guests, our regulars, our friends, our family and our extended networks of the Proper team, to consider making a donation.
100% of the donations will go toward alleviating financial stress for the members of our team whose jobs have been lost and who are struggling to maintain basic human needs. Any amount whatsoever that you can spare will help us contribute to the financial security of our team.
