The fact that I'm asking for a lot of money here is not lost on me - to be honest, it makes me pretty uncomfortable.
But the truth is my household bills will not stop coming while I'm out trying to fix Congress. As it progresses this project will take all my time and then some. Travel (even bare bones travel...I'll be camping much of the time) is expensive...traveling to 435 Congressional Districts over 15 months will be really expensive.
I expect that getting the project off the ground and me out the door this fall will cost roughly $50,000.
By the end of the year I expect to spend another $50,000 and when the Project to Find America hits full swing in 2020 I am anticipating expenses of about $20,000 per month.
I'm watching the cursor blink as I attempt to follow the advice on the screen and talk about what the support will mean to me and how grateful I will be. It is not hyperbole to say that I believe this project has the potential to make our government work better for generations to come and our world a better place. For the dad of an 11-year old, that means everything.
