Project Pinito: Seeds, Schools, Water
Spende geschützt
Lets help Tarahumara have an abundant bean harvest, improve their ability to irrigate and provide much needed food supplies to the schools!!
Our goal is to pay farmers to grow beans to supplement the meager food supply at the indigenous boarding schools where many students from the surrounding areas spend the week. We will build small reservoirs at several farms to increase their ability to irrigate and better insure a successful harvest.
The conditions in many parts of the Sierra Madre are desperate: no jobs, little government support, only sporadic assistance from outside groups and the food stock is currently very low.

In lieu of a giveaway program we can provide jobs, improve farms and offer a wholesome food option for the young students. Tarahumara appreciate gifts but they much prefer to work and earn their own way.
Catalina Motochi will manage the project on site with guidance from Mickey Mahaffey and Jake Mahaffey. All funds will go directly to Catalina. We will post regular updates and photos on our facebook page.
Every little bit helps!!!
