When I was four years old, I got a purple Tinkerbell rolling suitcase for Christmas. I covered it in stickers like they were passport stamps, rolled it all around the house, and loudly declared that I was going to be President of the World.

That little suitcase became my sidekick. Fast forward to my 15th birthday: my mom upgraded me to a hot pink Jessica Simpson hard-shell luggage set, and I carried it everywhere—sleepovers, school events, even flights. To this day, my mother and I laugh about how I walk differently when I have my suitcase in hand—backpack strapped, passport ready—like the world better watch out because Priya’s coming through- - “I journey not to change the world, but to be changed by it—with an open heart, curious mind, and the grace to listen.

Why I’m Fundraising

In January 2026, I’ll set sail on Semester at Sea , a 106-day study abroad program that will take me to 10 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe. I’ll study aboard a ship with students from around the world, learning from professors and local communities while earning 12-15 college credits This is more than travel—it’s about becoming a global citizen, building bridges, and bringing back lessons that can help my community.

Itinerary Highlights:

Embark: January 5, 2026 – Bangkok, Thailand

Disembark: April 20, 2026 – Bremerhaven, Germany

Ports of Call: Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Morocco, Spain

The total cost of this program is over $30,000. Scholarships and grants will cover part of it, but I need your help to make this dream a reality.
