Preemie Princess Cora Fund
Donation protected
Brittani and Anthony Munns got to meet their precious baby girl, Cora, a little earlier than they expected or wanted.
Brittani went into preterm labor on August 29th at only 25 weeks into her pregnancy. She went to her OBGYN because she knew something just was not right and they sent her by ambulance to the hospital in Harrisonburg, and then sent her straight to UVA hospital in Charlottesville to stay on the NICU floor until she gave birth; with hopes that would be weeks to months later.
Unfortunately attempts to keep sweet Cora from making her appearance just yet were not enough and Brittani had to have an emergency C-section on September 7th.
While Cora is in stable condition for her age, Brittani is having a slightly harder recovery due to infection since her water broke weeks before giving birth.
Cora will need to stay at UVA hospital for the next 3-4 months while she grows and becomes stronger. The Munns live about an hour away from this hospital. While that may not seem like a very long journey, it's far too long when you are talking about distance between parents and their intensive care small 2 lb baby.
Brittani and Anthony have a long journey ahead of them starting with figuring out how often to stay in Charlottesville to be closer to Cora and when to make the full drive home.
We are setting up this page to get donations to try to take away a little of the financial stress burden so they don't have to worry about gas money or hotel money to be close to their little princess.
Their focus should be on Brittani and Cora getting better!
Thanks to everyone in advance! Any amount will help make a difference!
