Prayers for Drew Infantino
On December 15th, my brother in law Drew was diagnosed with Covid. He went to the
hospital on December 29th with Covid related Symptoms and was admitted to St Catherine’s. Than he was diagnosed with Pneumonia. Overnight he became unresponsive. They sent him for CT Scan and He ended up suffering a life threatening stroke. They than transported him to good Sam where he would receive the best care for his condition. The Dr.’s said he had a clot in his brain along with a brain bleed. They diagnosed him with CVST. We were told that this condition has a 70-80% mortality rate. He was than placed on a ventilator and in critical condition. They did surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain and it was a success. He was still in critical condition but stable. He than started to open his eyes a little more. We were all just hoping that no more clots would form or that the brain bleed would get worse. The next CT Scan showed no change. We were told that brain bleeds take a long time to absorb. Everyday he is making progress. After every phone call we would hear more milestones that he was reaching. He is off the ventilator and has been able to say his name, follow commands and move both sides of his body. He still remains in the Neuro ICU. There is still a long road ahead of him. He will most likely need rehab.
Drew and Amanda just bought a beautiful home with their 3 boys. We are unsure of what effects this stroke will have on him and when he will be able to return back to work. Medical bills are going to be substantial. Anything that can help the family get back on their feet during this very difficult time would be appreciated.
