Prayers for baby Wesley
Donation protected
Wesley Dean Bartz was found unresponsive in the early morning of Dec. 10th, 2019. For being 1 month old this little guy and his family have been through more strife than anyone deserves.
At 8 months pregnant his momma fell and broke her leg requiring emergency surgery involving pins and screws placed. He got through the surgery seemingly unscathed only to be born 10 days early with complications and not breathing. Again, thankfully, we got our Wesley back! Now, when everything seemed to be in the rear view and with the holidays approaching, he is going through the biggest fight of his little life.
Baby Wesley was flown via Mercy One North Iowa AirMed to Mason City Mercy One hospital from his home in Thornton, IA. Upon arrival the medical team was able to revive him only enough to stabilize a life flight to Iowa City, IA University of Iowa Hospital where he is currently being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit. There was a good amount of time this beautiful baby went without oxygen so they are monitoring him closely.
Upon further examination, cardiac doctors found an issue with his heart muscles being far too thickened likely causing this horrific chain of events.
Every second is sacred time with him for his family. Jaylee Follmuth and Dustin Bartz are the most loving parents to their 4 children: Austin (12), Thomas (3), EmmaLee (2), and Wesley (1 month). Any donations made will be put toward travel expenses for the 3 hour journey and hotel expenses so his family will not have to venture far from their beloved baby boy.
All prayers are welcome and any help we can give this family would be very much appreciated.
We love you, Wesley. Keep fighting.
