Our family is facing an unimaginable challenge. Our son, Kaden, recently suffered a serious medical emergency that stopped his heart for over 20 minutes. By the grace of God, he is still with us, but he has sustained brain damage. We are just beginning the long, uncertain journey of understanding what this means for his future.

As we focus all our energy on Kaden's recovery, we are facing a significant financial strain. While my job is protected by FMLA, it is unpaid. My wife, Kim, will be on 60% pay while she helps care for Kaden.

This sudden, significant loss of income—combined with the unknown future costs of Kaden's care, which may include specialized therapy and accommodations for our home—is a heavy burden.

We are so incredibly grateful to our Grace Lutheran Church family and Beaches Chapel for surrounding us with love and supporting us with immediate needs like meals and gifts.
