Pray for Kris & Help her Family

Hi,

I, Cassandra (Kris’s first cousin, Michael’s Wife) and Melissa (Kris’s first cousin) are putting this fundraiser together to help financially support Kris’s husband, Ismael and their four children Amara, Kheady, Remy & Riley. This family is strong, hard working, caring, giving and going through a real life nightmare. Kris contracted Covid-19 November 7/8th, 2021. She had started with a cold, cough and fatigue. The fatigue intensified and began affecting her breathing. After fighting at home for almost two weeks she had a seizure and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Kris’s oxygen levels were dangerously low. She remained in the hospital for two days. On the third day (the day before Thanksgiving) they had to make the tough decision to incubate her (induced coma). Kris was transported by helicopter from Lowell General later that night to Boston. Kris is still in a coma to date. She has one incubation tube (one was removed a few days ago), paralysis meds, steroids and oxygen. Ismael has been visiting the hospital every day and staying most of the day to be with her rubbing her hand, playing music, her favorite movies and when done having to grocery shop, get the kids to school, and try to be strong for them emotionally. He was hesitant to have me set this up but the fact is it’s needed and will help relieve the financial burden while he is out of work caring for them, Kris and himself. Any little bit can help. It is much appreciated and we will continue to update on how Kris is doing. We want her home, safe, happy and healthy. After taking care of her Aunt who was passing from Cancer in August this is the last thing anyone expected or wants for this family, our family.
