Elf Staff Relief Fund

Dear Friends and Family of Elf,

    These past few weeks have been incredibly jarring and anxiety inducing for all of us. Even so, we've seen sparks of nobility and graciousness everywhere- people coming together to help one another, lifting spirits with impromptu public singing, online classes and neighbors delivering food to neighbors. 
     Our industry has been hit hard by the coronavirus/Covid-19. The financial burden to our close-knit staff has been heavy, just like so many other close-knit staffs at countless restaurants around the world. Career chefs, artists, musicians, managers, writers, bartenders, sommeliers, actors, parents...the list is endless. 
   


    Elf has been proud to be your tiny neighborhood restaurant for these many years, serving our community and beyond on first dates, anniversaries, birthdays, get togethers with good friends and every day in between. It is our talented and dedicated small Elf family who are here for you every evening and who create the energetic and magical experience waiting just on the other side of our front door on Sunset Boulevard. We are doing our best to keep the Elf spirit strong during this terrible time when we've seen so many dear friends close up shop and lose their livelihoods. We are keeping limited hours for take out and delivery.  While being very dedicated to the safety and security of our team that is able to keep working,  we are thinking of those members of our team who cannot,  given that we can't open the dining room to guests until this crisis has passed. And it will.
   

      But right now, we are appealing to you, our community, to help us help our dedicated staff make it through this unimaginably difficult time. We have set up this campaign to provide direct financial assistance to our staff. 100% of any donations will go directly to them. Many are without a financial buffer to remain solvent until we can all get back to doing what we love- hosting our community and making every evening a magical and memorable one. 


     We know that we are not the only ones facing difficulties right now, but please consider sharing if you are able. It will take a community to get each other through this. Please know- regardless if you are able to donate or not, you have our sincere gratitude and we look forward to seeing you, to sharing food and wine and generosity and hope with you, in the very near future.
