Powerful Paisley

This is my precious and powerful niece, Paisley, and she has 3 beautiful sisters, and a mom and a dad that would walk to the ends of the earth for her. Paisley is seven years old, and her family has noticed since she was a baby that she was not neuro-typical. For years, it has seemed at times that Paisley was trapped inside her own body that wasn't receiving the ideal queues we all might give our body, causing her to act out in many different ways. Like all good parents would do, my sister and brother-in-law have sought answers and different opinions to get Paisley the help she needs. They have spent countless hours, dollars, and energy seeking help, which lead them to a program called Brain Balance. 

What is Brain Balance-Brain Balance establishes a unique plan for each child that includes sensory motor work, eye tracking, core exercises, academic engagement, healthy nutrition, confidence building and many other activities that work to bolster a child’s developmental deficits. 

Kristin and Rex are committed to making the 3 hour drive from southeast Colorado to and from Denver twice a week for six months, and once a month for the next year after that, while Paisley completes her treatment. They have also already begun homeschooling her, putting Kristin's background in education to good work. (If you've ever homeschooled a child, you know that is a full-time job in and of itself.)  Rex is one of America's cherished, yet undervalued farmers, working very hard in an economy where the farming industry is not being well supported. While he does a great job of providing for his family, the cost of a phenomenal, but uninsured program like Brain Balance, is a large financial weight for anyone to carry.

The funds being raised, will go towards the entirety of Paisley's treatment, and go miles towards relieving some additional stress off of Kristin and Rex. Coming from Kristin's older sister that has watched her be one of the most selfless humans on the planet throughout her life, and watched Rex be an incredible father and husband to my sister and nieces, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your willingness to contribute anything to support them. I know they are humbly grateful for any and all of your support.

If you are not in a position to donate right now, we graciously ask that you send Paisley and her family prayers as they embark on this journey. If you live within their community, we know they'd appreciate a healthy meal from time to time. Most of all, please reach out to them and let them know that by sharing their story, they're helping others do the same, and shining a light for other parents that are struggling when they feel hopeless and unable to help their children. The persistent and endless fight to provide Paisley her best life possible, is a cause I know we can all get behind!
