Pop's Diner Student Short Film

We are a student production team in association with British Columbia Institute of Technology’s School of Business and Media, who are aiming to apply hands on knowledge to create our final project, a short film.

“Pop’s Diner” is a short film set in a secluded town struggling with a meat shortage. Famous for being the the only local restaurant that supplies meat-based meals, "Pop’s Diner" prepares to unveil its brand-new “Savoury Sub Sandwich”. News travels fast and everyone’s attention is drawn to the diner - including Maggy. A vagrant hungry for meat and desperate for money, she stumbles into a new job working for the “Meatman” aka Pops. However, things take an unexpected turn when Maggy discovers that the meat in the “Savoury Subs” is anything but ordinary.
