Tito's Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Fund

Tragically, on Friday, October 7th, Tito suffered a spinal cord injury during a workout when he was performing an overhead lift with a weight bar of 165 lbs. Unfortunately, during the second overhead lift, his body locked out causing the bar to fall directly onto his spine.

This incident caused T12 + L1 vertebral fracture, lumbar fracture with cord injury. He underwent spinal cord surgery immediately and remained in neuro ICU as it caused paralysis on his legs and several organs. He was transferred to inpatient rehabilitation where he currently is for a short amount of time; he will then continue his recovery with outpatient rehabilitation. It will be a long road to recovery but through all this, his spirit remains strong, determined and eager to advance as well as exceed every expectation possible. 

As Tito will soon return home and continue his road to recovery, we are raising funds to assist with expenses insurance does not cover. 100 percent of donations will go toward Tito’s short term and long care needs as he recovers and leaves inpatient rehabilitation. Any amount is greatly appreciated. 

Expenses includes modifications in the home to make it accessible, at home therapeutic equipment, wheelchair accessible equipments to utilize his needs, supplies for holistic therapies, physical health treatment, medical expenses and future transportation needs.
