I was recently blessed to spend a little less than 2 weeks living with my fiancé Stanley’s family in Haiti. I have created this page hoping to surprise his Mom and Dad with some extra love this holiday season.
Stanley comes from a family of hard workers. He has been working so hard to put money aside for us and our upcoming life together, while also giving the majority of his pay checks to support his family and their building project.
His family has been living in a temporary 2 room concrete floor/sheet metal sided home, with no electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing. The few batteries they have, have not been able keep enough charge to supply enough electricity needed to run small appliances. His parents and sisters are living on the land Stanley and his brothers purchased for them. He and his brothers (all who do not live in the home) have been saving until enough money is raised to begin building the home their parents have always hoped for. This home will be the one we stay in when we go to visit for years to come.

Our October wedding was delayed due to recent events in the world and the stagnant immigration process. This time in Haiti was a sweet reunion with Stanley and his family. We are praying for a miracle for Stanley to come join me soon.
I have included pictures of the building process thus far, but as you can tell, there is much work to be done! Any funds contributed, will go directly to the building project for supplies (rock, cement, labor, batteries, solar panels, etc.) that will all be bought in Haiti, to continue to support local businesses.
