My son has been diagnosed with a disease called nephrotic syndrome.

It’s a disease that doesn’t allow protein to stay in his body because it comes out through his urine. It also causes fluid build-up over his lungs and in his chest area. We have been dealing with this for over 6 months. The medicine and steroids they gave don’t work for him; his body doesn’t respond to it.

I miss a lot of work to be here at the hospital with my son!! So please, anything helps! God Bless!!

Hello, this is Randy Reed Jr. I am 6 years old and was diagnosed with a rare form of nephrotic syndrome on March 28, 2025. I have had multiple stays in the hospital, including ICU for a couple of weeks due to fluid build-up on my lungs. I've had multiple procedures and tests done to pinpoint the exact type, but we still don’t have 100% answers. I am on multiple medications daily as well as multiple infusions weekly. This has been very life-changing for me and my family. We are asking for assistance to cover bills, medical necessities, clothing, and food since I am now on a very strict diet. If you're able to help, it will be a huge blessing to our family. We appreciate anything!
