FIRE DEVASTATION

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is James, thank you for taking your time to visit here.  Yesterday, my friends and some of their animals lives changed forever.

My friends began on their property with very little, living in a small barn.  If I remember correctly, a dilapidated old farm house stood on the parcel when I was young.  There was not much money leftover as my friend, a carpenter, worked from morning until night to save money to build larger combination home/garage/barn to raise his family.

As he worked from 4am to 10pm 6 days a week as carpenter, farmer, father, husband, through sickness that should have any man hospitalized, he has always maintained to pay his way without asking me or anyone I know for money.

He's the strongest man I know for his age, I think he's 46ish.  Yesterday, I saw a different man.  He was broken.  First time I've seen him cry. He knows he is in a position no man would wish on their worst enemy.

Him and his boys were loading hay in the barn late at night on Friday August 2, 2019.  After completing task, they all went to bed.

Wife got out of bed around 12am, was unable to sleep, so she started writing her friend a letter.  At approximately 1am, she noticed bright glowing lights outside and odd noises, she looked out the window to see flames and smoke towering from the roof of their largest livestock, horse, and hay barn.

You can imagine the panic as everyone, including children sleeping in home was awaken to the horrible screams from their mother screaming "barn fire" in a the barn where their precious horses live.

I'm an animal lover, I can't talk about the loss of life at this time, I will edit later.  The vet bills will be huge.

I'm not a building contractor, I'm guessing $150,000 just in materials to rebuild their enormous barn.

The barn, horses, everything, was uninsured, there's just not enough money to feed, clothe, medicate, and educate their children and pay insurance on everything.

One of their daughters broke a bone recently, something went wrong during healing, maybe infection, I can't remember, she had to see a bone specialist.  A $7,000 usd bill showed up in their mailbox recently.  Thereis no money leftover to pay for health insurance.

The windows popped from the extreme temps from fire, vinyl siding on wall facing barn fire, melted, the children mattresses are soaked with water.

No humans died.  The family, including young kids ran into burning barn to save the majority of horses and calves.

These people need help in the worst way imaginable.  These people are some of the most loving, hardworking, peaceful people I know.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

James
