Please help rebuild TJ and Presley Montaño's lives

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, our small town was set ablaze by The McBride Fire and changed our family's lives forever. My 12 year old niece Presley, along with several hundred other students were evacuated from Ruidoso Middle School to Ruidoso Convention Center to escape the fast approaching flames from a wildfire fuled by dry conditions and strong winds. While classmates were being picked up by parents and loved ones, Presley was having a difficult time getting in touch with her Dad, TJ and ultimately not able to get through to him. Presley was eventually united with her grandmother by other caring family members, all the while continuing to try reaching TJ. Several people spent the evening into the night trying to locate TJ with no luck. In the early hours of the morning, there was finally word that he may have been located. TJ is currently being treated in a burn unit in Texas after being transported from LCMC. We have also learned TJ and Presley's home and only vehicle have burned to the ground, as many others in the area have. Sadly Presley and TJ have lost everything but the clothes on their backs. TJ has been a long time resident of Ruidoso and has worked in many restaurants in the area and has worked beside many locals. He is a single Dad to my niece and sole provider to their small family which includes several dogs and a beloved ginuea pig which are all unaccounted for at this time. As TJ continues to recover from his injuries, it is clear this family has a long road ahead of them. I am asking for any help possible to aid in them getting back on their feet, paying for every day expenses and the mounting hospital bills that are sure to come with this unfortunate event. Prayers are always welcome, as my prayers are with Ruidoso and everyone who has been affected, lost homes, pets and belongings to this massive fire. Thank you.
