Spende geschützt
Hello everyone my name is Keiko. Me and my sisters are knocking on your kind hearts and humbly asking to please help us in prayers and raise funds for our mother Melly Hernaez Fujiwara.
Yesterday, we just found out that our mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer that has spread in her stomach. Our mom will need to undergo at least 4 sessions of chemotherapy a month after her operation, which happened last October 7. Afterwards she will then have to undergo another major operation where the remaining tumors that were found in her abdomen and intestines are to be removed. She is currently at home recovering and doing her best to get back in her own two feet.
Despite the whole family’s effort, we are still struggling to find enough money for the hospital bills, medicines, chemotherapy and her upcoming surgery. If by any chance you have extra money to spare, it doesn’t matter how small or big, we really appreciate all the help that you can give.
My sister is also doing an emergency commission, raising funds for our mom’s hospital bills. She is an amazing artist! Please check her artwork and kindly contact her through her instagram or facebook account.
She has always been our rock for the past 18 years, giving it her all just to make ends meet in order to raise her three daughters. A selfless human being who will never second guess in extending her hand to people asking for help. She is a dancer by heart, always in demand by everyone to keep the party going. She fills the room with light and laughter with her bubbly personality and crazy stories. If it were the Oscars she would have won the best supporting actress, because she would always have your back as a friend. She will go over the moon, cross the rivers, will cry and stick with you through every storm. And she is our Super Mom. The one and only family member that we have left in this world.
Our mom has always been a fighter, never gives up and keeps on getting stronger every time life would throw a fist at her. We humbly ask for your help to join us this battle with our Mom.
May God bless your hearts
*** Back story***
This July, our mom started to experience constipation, bloating, felt pain around her abdominal area. Since then, we have been going back and forth in the hospital seeing specialists, doing different laboratory tests and trying to figure out what was going on. The test results showed nothing not until September, when our mom was asked to do a CA-125 blood test. The doctors also suggested repeating the transvaginal ultrasound. It was about 86% risk of malignancy and we were immediately referred to an oncologist.
This last Saturday October 7, our mom underwent a major operation where her ovaries, uterus and peritoneal fluid, had been removed. As the doctors performed the surgery, they discovered tumors that had already spread around her abdomen and intestines. The doctors tried their best but unfortunately not all were removed. These were the type of cysts that they could not forcefully get rid of because it was enlarged and might leave a permanent damage. This meant putting our mom on a colonoscopy bag for the rest of her life. The specimen (right ovary and uterus) was sent to the laboratory for biopsy and we got the result yesterday Oct18 (manila time) that she tested positive.
