Please help Nickolas Prevo and his family fight!

Nickolas was a healthy happy boy until he had covid in 2022. A few weeks after he would get severe headaches, swell in his legs and have trouble walking. For most of the rest of the school year his parents were picking him up several times because he couldn’t make it through the day without symptoms. He would take steroids and feel better for a bit then the symptoms would start again. In June of 2022 his family had his bday party. That day he was feeling good and had just came off steroids. Then exactly 5 days later he woke and and couldn’t walk. The inflammation in his legs and hips was intense as well as he had a random rash. This continued as did more symptoms, erratic heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, more swelling, needing a wheelchair, difficulty with his right eye lid, severe muscle spasm, severe cold sweating and dehydration, ect.

His family decided along with his doctors to have him genetically tested because they just didn’t understand why this was happening after Covid.

After genetic test and additional bloodwork they found out that Nickolas has 2 Neuro muscular diseases and an auto immune disease. He was a carrier for those but was non-symptomatic until getting Covid to which the virus triggered these diseases to become over active.

This puts us to where we are now with Nickolas.

❤️‍ As of today Nickolas is not doing his best. He is in the pediatric intensive care unit, struggling and on a ventilator to help him to name a few things.

However, I always say things get worse before they get better and Nickolas is one of God’s strongest soldiers. This he has proven ❤️‍

His amazing parents are determined to do everything in our power to get their sweet boy better and they will do so and we can help!

So please if everyone can continue the prayers for him they will forever be grateful! He is a fighter and has an army behind him!

When I was talking to Amanda, his mother today, about what they need or what can we do as a community she said “I don’t want to bother anyone”. That’s the kind of heart this family has, but now we need another show them our hearts. This incredible family who is very involved in the community, has already lost one young son recently and has 7 amazing kiddos total.

The Prevo family and Nickolas need us now more than ever and we as a community need to step up and step in to support them!
