Hello everybody! Here in Alexandria, Virginia, on October 21st, at roughly 12:00AM, there was a very large fire that was started several businesses over from mine. My business is called Alexandria Music Company, we've been in business for 25 years and this recent fire has been hurting my business greatly. We are still without power and have suffered from some water damage from the firefighters. We usually offer lessons as well but our instructors cannot teach in our soot-covered and smokey-smelling environment, and we would not want to risk making our customers/instructors sick anyway. We are asking for $50,000 to help our instructors who are currently without an income. We've just been told that it might take a few weeks until our business can start getting cleaned up and that it might take until the end of the year until we are able to start getting close to a full restoration. With that being said, we'd love it if people stopped by to check out some of our musical equipment (everything from books to instruments, and from speakers to mixers). We want to try to get as much of our equipment out of our way to help get the restoration process moving since everything must be removed from the store during the restoration process anyway.
