Please help me go home to Texas

My name is Elaine. I’m 69. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats I’ve taken in from ferel kittens or puppies in ditches. I’m all the have and they are my family.

but our home is falling down around us. 2005 Katrina took my home and business. Before we even thought of getting iour feet my husband died.

I discoveredthe floors were falling in from water damage.recently and my insurance company doesn’t cover water damage. The floors are rotted thru at the front and back door and there’s no way to patch so the doors will close. The bath room floor is nearly as bad.

before I could find a way to patch the floors . Hurricane IDA tore off a lot of the roof and the damage is below my deductible. The water spots are already growing across the ceiling.

The only family I have are my fur babies. My friends are all in Texas. And I want to go home.

when I saw th cost of moving I sobbed because it’s as costly as the repairs on this house.

I thought about maybe just taking what I most needed but my 18 yr old truck won’t pull a trailer.

Iv had chrons disease most of my life and lost most of my intestines. And I had an accident on the job requiring back, neck and shoulder surgery. When it was all done I got less in settlement than I lost in salary and I had to find a new job.

I can’t work any more and Even as I write another tropical storm is coming. More rain on a damaged roof.

please help me and my fur babies go to my hometown in Texas.

the cat in the picture is Tazer. I have three more named Cleo, Jackson, mouser. My dogs are cookie, Louie, Annebelle and Ruthie.
