Please help Brigham Bird with his medical costs
Spende geschützt
On Sunday, December 5th, Brigham Bird (21) was rushed to the hospital in Rexburg, Idaho after falling unconscious with many other worrisome symptoms. After a CT scan and an MRI, it was discovered he had suffered a massive stroke (and had been for days). Shortly thereafter, he was transferred by ambulance to a hospital in Idaho Falls where he underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. The surgery went well, but he is still considered to be in critical condition and they will continue to monitor the swelling and pressure on his brain. The next week is especially critical as his temperature fluctuates and the pressure on his brain may return.
The Birds have a long road ahead. Brigham will remain in Idaho for at least the next few weeks until he is considered stable enough to move to Salt Lake to continue his recovery closer to home. At this time, Brigham has lost complete function of the left side of his body and will require extensive therapy in the future to try to recover it. After days of tests, doctors still have no idea what caused the stroke.
Anyone that knows Brigham and the Bird family knows that they are the Salt of the Earth. What they need most during this time is your faith, prayers, fasting and service.
However, they will acquire insurmountable bills through ambulance rides, surgery, hospital stays, and future therapy. We’d like to help ease a little of this financial burden for them so they can focus on Brigham’s recovery. Please know that any support at this time will be welcomed with the greatest gratitude. The Birds have already seen miracles and blessings as they’ve been rallied around by an army of family, dear friends and ward members.
We will continue to provide updates on Brigham’s recovery.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
