The Bush Family is so very grateful for our community and the love and support they have given us during this time. As a family we have has decided to use these funds to create a “Prove Them Wrong” scholarship in Robert’s name, in lieu of the medical costs.  To honor our HERO and give back to this amazing community.  

Our family is committed to push the state on a few fronts:

-Provide more Organ Donor education either in schools or as part of the permit and license process, and also make it a requirement to check off “Yes” or “No” prior to getting your license.

-New York school’s health and safety protocols need to be improved. More frequent CPR certifications by all coaching staff, AEDs required at ANY school practice, “intramurals” or conditioning where a coach is present. Either in the hands of the coach or in the immediate vicinity, not inside the school.

-Make an EKG part of the requirement of the student to participate in any school sport. A physical is just not enough.

We would like thank all that have donated so far.   Thank you to LeeAnn Mazzillo for setting this up so quickly, and thank you Middle Country Moms for all the continued support. Thank you to the entire community for simply put……everything you have done for us. The entire Bush family is so grateful to all of you.

Please help us continue to “Prove Them Wrong”. If we can save just one child by getting these changes implemented, it will be worth it.
