Please Donate to Donna Macher's Funeral

Heya, my name's Kris, or Kristofer if you only know me through my parents. Early in the morning of December 13th, my Mother, Donna Michelle Macher, passed away due to COVID-19 and related health issues. For what it's worth, she passed with very little pain, but it was a sudden and shocking loss to both myself and my Father, her Husband, Johnnie Macher Jr.. So shocking that we've, as of the time this GoFundMe is going up, we spent two days scrambling to get our affairs in order... which has been only made harder because we also have COVID-19.

 

Now, we're in relatively good health, but that means that we weren't able to be there for the most important person in our lives at the end. We aren't going to be able to be there for her funeral. We can barely even coordinate these affairs without outside assistance. And as neither of us has work at the moment, this puts us in the precarious position where if her hospital bills don't knock us out of financial stability, then her funerary costs most certainly will.

 

My Mother was a good person. Over the last few days, I've seen just how many people knew and loved her, and how many people want to help us in any way they can. That's why I'm making this GoFundMe: Right now, while Dad and I recover, grieve, and get our lives on track, we need your support. So instead of flowers or food or any wonderful gifts like that, as much as they'd be appreciated, please consider donating. It will help bury my Mother. It will help keep our family together.

 

The funeral home we're working with is going to charge roughly 9,000 (Nine Thousand) dollars for their most basic services, the sanitation and beautification of her remains, a private visitation (for her Mother, Elnora Miller), her cremation and internment, and the eventual graveside services and reception we'll have. The extra 6,000 (Six Thousand) dollars in the amount is for any costs that we aren't expecting and to make sure we're in a stable enough place to make sure everything goes as planned.
