Dear Lovers,

We are in need of your love and support to keep our work alive at PLEASE. For the last five years, we've held on tight to make our passion for an inclusive sex positive environment a reality for the community of Park Slope and beyond. PLEASE has garnered the love, respect and admiration of the local community; and recognition of national and international press. We are a minority, woman owned business hiring persons from the LGBTQ community; dedicated to providing an inclusive environment where ALL can come, ask and share their sexual inquiries.

This funding request helps to cover our costs but more importantly, your contribution helps us fund the projects that we've been planning for the future. We've been collaborating with various outlets to change the perception of everyday sexuality; promote sexual health in medicine; and doing workshops that further educate the community. We believe that our place in the world goes beyond surviving this pandemic; it is to make a difference in sexual health for all.

Through the years, we've conversed and gave meaningful insight and advice to couples, young mothers, persons with changing bodies and/or disabilities, singletons - and openly shared our knowledge to anyone who has had a question. We've had mothers and daughters come in together to buy her first vibrator; we've had persons recovering from cancer coming to us asking us how to be sexually active again; we've had older couples with new found challenges, seeking our advice on how to stay intimate in the bedroom. We are here for you and we absolutely love the priviledge of you sharing with us your questions, stories and/or vulnerabilities.

PLEASE was never for profit, a mere labor of love and an act of "fuck you" to all who shamed sex and sexuality!  We hope that you will show us your love and support; as we've given you ours, in our daily work to desensationalize sexuality, promote lifelong intimacy, and to ensure accessiblility to sexual education to all. We seek your help so we can continue to be a part of your community. We cannot wait to open our doors to you again.

Much love, Sid Azmi and PLEASE.

TESTIMONIALS ON OUR WORK:

"Sid writes an expert column on sexual health for A Women’s Thing. Our readers are incredibly grateful for her so-much needed, fresh perspective on self-care and self-love. Sid and Please are essential to building a stronger voice for health in the NYC community and I’m looking forward to hearing more success stories that come out of the work she does to empower women and the LGBTQ community."

"Sid is an amazing resource for the patients in my sexual health after cancer program. Patients with a history of cancer oftentimes have anxiety over addressing their issues, and sending patients to Sid or one of her team members ensures that my patients will meet with an informed expert sensitive to their specific needs. I can count on her and her store to offer high-quality products and education, regardless of their history. I recommend her and her team to all women!"

"Please has been a staple in the Park Slope community since its opening, and this unique sex shop has so much to offer the larger community now that we've all gone virtual. Sid creates a transparent, fun, educational space for everyone to access more pleasure. As a psychologist working with individuals and couples, I know how important both education and play are in stimulating health. Sid has obviously learned through her own experience and offers her deep love of the human body in a natural, accessible way. Whether it's looking for healing, health, or unabashed fun, I highly encourage anyone looking for more stimulation to check out Please."
