Supporting Oscar’s Journey with Love and Dignity

Hi everyone,

My name is Michelle, and I’m reaching out with love, a heavy heart and urgency on behalf of my dad, Oscar.

In 2017, my dad was diagnosed with cancer for the first time. With strength, faith, and support from our loved ones, he made it through. Then in 2020, he survived a life-threatening battle with COVID-19, spending over 90 days in the ICU. By the grace of God, he pulled through once again.

Now, we are facing a new, heartbreaking diagnosis:

Oscar has colon cancer that has spread to his liver.

He is a man with a big heart — gentle, sincere, and always wishing the best for others, even while facing his own challenges. Despite everything he’s been through, he keeps a positive spirit and refuses to give up.

During his first cancer battle, I was able to work three jobs to help support his care. This time around, I’m facing a tough financial situation and juggling the responsibilities of raising a teenager and two toddlers, making it difficult to give the kind of help I once could.

That’s why we’re asking for support.

We’ve set a goal of $10,000 to assist with my dad’s care and comfort during this difficult time. Every dollar raised will go toward:

• Transportation to and from treatments

• Medical expenses and medications

• Nutritional and recovery support

• Basic needs to keep him stable and as comfortable as possible

Oscar is strong, but cancer is exhausting — emotionally, physically, and financially. Your support means the world to us, whether it’s through a donation, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping our family in your prayers.
