Piper Shea: Marching 4 Our Lives

Hi! My name is Piper Shea and I have decided that I will be going to Washington DC for the "March 4 Our Lives" event happening Saturday, March 24th on Pennsylvania Ave in our nation's capitol. And, I need your help!!
After feeling helpless and frusterated about the latest school shooting in Florida, I am feeling deeply called to attend and lend my voice and physical presence to this profound movement. A movement that demands we as a nation end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools.
The funds I raise will go toward airfare and accomodations for my chaperone (aka: my mom/Angie Emmett) and I as we make our way from Portland, Oregon to Washington DC. We will depart Portland Friday March 23rd and return Monday March 26th.
I am also using this experience as a project for my homeschool curriculum. Planning and carrying out this dream of mine gives me real life experience in all areas of my education~finance, current events, social studies, english, writing, creative arts, government and SO MUCH MORE.
Your support means more to me than I can put into words. I am so excited to be feeling like I can actually be a part of such a big social change movement. Promoting safe communites for all of us to thrive in. I plan to use this experience to become a more present leader in my own community. Thank you, a million times, over and over again, for your support. I am so grateful.
I will keep a video and written diary of my trip~and will share it upon returning.
