Pie Face - a short film

Hey there!

We are a passionate filmmaking team from the Darling Downs QLD and we need your help to create our 12-minute coming-of-age short film!

We are a small crew of ambitious, passionate students who are currently completing their final year of film school. We have come together to create a story about family, grief and connection through the eyes of a teenager growing up in regional Queensland.

This story is about growing up, dealing with hard stuff and ultimately finding connection and the courage to be vulnerable

We are so excited to create and share this story but we need your help!

So how will your contribution help?

- Locations: We will be filming at various locations around the Toowoomba Region, including those of local businesses. We would like to support both these businesses and the owners of these locations.

- Production Design: To bring the film to life through the design of the filming locations, costumes, key props and of course – pies.

- Catering: To fuel the crew over the shoot!

- Actors and Specialised Crew: We are using local actors and specialised crew from the region! Your contribution would ensure we can support these crew members.

- Film Festivals: to share our story with the world!

We will be filming in early July, and hosting a limited screening in Toowoomba in late 2025. This is a project that we have been working on for the greater part of 6 months and we are all incredibly excited to now be preparing to share our story.
