On Wednesday November 27 our sweet Hazel was brought to Harborview Medical Center with a severe brain injury. Our hearts were broken Saturday November 30 when we were told she had gained her angel wings.  As we are all grasping for understanding in this horrible situation, we ask that you please give us time to process this loss.

Hazel Journey Homan was born March 13, 2016. She is the sweetest baby and brings joy to everyone she ever meets. Hazel loves her family and her family adores her. Hazel’s family stretches far and wide and consists of not just blood but friends that became family. She is such a character. One story is of her inserting herself into books that are being read to her so she can be part of the action.  If anyone sneezed or coughed she would say in her cute little voice “you ok?”  She loves to sing and dance and we have some pretty cute videos of Hazel’s rendition of baby shark. If you brought her chicken nuggets you were immediately her favorite. We could go on and on because this baby is so very loved.


At this time we are asking for assistance to ensure our family is able to celebrate Hazels life without enduring further financial hardship. Any funds we are able to raise will go to offset the costs of her service, ensure her loved one’s are able to be together to celebrate her, and hopefully be able to make a donation to Harborview Pediatric ICU.
