Hello Everyone, as you know I have gone threw a HUGE storm in my life, my hurricane is still coming. I had the front of the storm make its landfall September last year leaving me in a coma and complete organ shut down. Doctors said there was nothing medically they could to to save me;they did all they can. Well as you know God is the last one to speak, he awoken me 9 days later; restored me. With all your prayers..... God heard them all. My storm continues- I was in the eye of the storm; it has been calm, God is good. NOW THE BACK SIDE OF THE STORM IS ABOUT TO COME, My heart suffered tremendously and now is only working 10-15 percent, my heart is in stage 4 heart failure. The doctor In Mayo Clinic said my doctors here should have sent me a year ago; due to this my heart has a year expiration notice. I am time sensitive to get all the testing done to get me on the transplant list so I have many road trips to jacksonville approaching . My next adventure begins as I wait for that heart transplant donor to arrive that will make me the recipient. I have never asked for anything as many as you know, but my life is about to get tough with all my trips back and forth to Jacksonville. I ask for help in all aspects Prayer, thoughts, and financial help. I am thanking you all from the bottom of my heart. For whatever is on your heart. My faith is so strong in Christ may God bless each and everyone of you, even if I'm just in your thoughts. - Pete.
This page was developed by me personally, Pete Curtis from Pensacola, FL, and is intended as #1 a journal of my journey as a heart transplant recipient and #2 to help with expenses I accumulate with travel back and forth to the transplant center. The funds will be used for lodging, gas, and food. Jacksonville Mayo clinic is a six hour drive one way for me each visit I make. I appreciate everyones prayers and everything you have contributed.
A note from Debbie Meyer, Pete's sister~ thank you all so much for your prayers, love, support and contributions! We love and appreciate you all so much. This can be a scary journey and your support brings so much comfort. I am managing the finances for Pete, keeping a record of funds coming in and out for travel/food/expenses for the transplant journey. Please contact me if you have any questions. We appreciate you!!
